So many people out there seem to feel that a spa is actually not the kind of thing for children and even more so for something like spa hotels but I do not feel you need to keep kids out if you are watching them. So what are the key dangers of failing to look after a child around the spa area.

Well of course the main danger to this kind of thing is actually the child drowning in one of the hot tubs. Over 700 reported deaths have been reported in spas and hot tubs since 1980 due to drowning and this is of course down to the fact that people were not watching their kids around the area of the hot tub.

Next on the list of reasons why you should be watching the kids is hair entanglement. What many kids will actually do is try and compete to see how long they can hold their breath under water and what will happen is that the victims hair will get caught in one of the fittings and sucked in, they will then be unable to pull up which results in death. Now many adults have been able to get out of this because they have not panicked but children will panic and could face death.

Temperature is next on the list and you must always check the temperature of your hot tub and although the temperature may seem fine to you for your kids it could be too high. The water will not burn them but it could cause them to get a bit drowsy which of course then leads them to fall unconscious and then drown.

It is important to note that if you are thinking of taking a child to Dubai spa holidays or even Europe spa holidays that you must get a note from the doctor saying that they are allowed to go and the same goes for a pregnant lady.
