When More Than A Few Young Men Who Work In Construction Exhibit Hazardous And Excessive Drinking, Need Alcohol Treatment, And Need To Enhance Their Dating Or Marital Relationships
I work with a lot of young men who work in construction who exhibit irresponsible and abusive drinking. After working exceptionally hard for eight or more hours, it seems to make a lot of sense to go to the local watering hole to have a drink or two with one’s fellow workers. Frequently, however, it seems that the well-intentioned few drinks becomes a circumstance in which several beers are consumed, a lot of cash is spent, and many hours are spent at the local tavern instead of spending time with their wife or girlfriend, friends, or with their family.
Hazardous and Excessive Drinking Can Lead to Relationship, Marital, and Friendship Difficulties
Is it all that shocking under these circumstances that many my hard working pals go through alcohol induced financial difficulties in spite of the fact that they make quite a lot of money? How comflex can it be for my hard working pals to understand that hazardous and abusive drinking typically results in marital, relationship, friendship, and possible divorce difficulties? Why are these alcoholism and alcohol abuse signs so hard for my hard working friends to see?
Abusive and Hazardous Drinking Can Result in DWIs, Work Problems, More Than a Few Health Problems, and a Variety of Mental Health Problems Such as Depression
Should it truly be amazing to anyone that these hard working men could receive a DWI almost any day or night of the week? Is anyone genuinely taken aback when these construction workers begin to show up tardy for work due to their irresponsible drinking?
Does it actually surprise anyone to know that these construction workers eventually complain about alcohol-related health problems such as hangovers, alcohol poisoning, a loss of energy, and sleep disturbances? Is it in point of fact astonishing that many of my hard working pals are beginning to experience a variety of mental health issues such as depression? Why can’t my hard working buddies “see” these alcohol abuse effects?
To a great extent, my hard working friends have gotten into a dysfunctional situation that is resulting in a life of alcohol dependency or alcohol abuse. My wish is that these construction workers will ultimately comprehend the fact that irresponsible drinking is unhealthy and that they need to talk to their family physician or somebody at the local drug and alcohol counseling facility about their drinking problem.
Concerning the drinking problems manifested by my hard working friends, the point to emphasize is that honesty is needed. Indeed, these hard working guys, not that much different than others who engage in heavy drinking, need to look within themselves and make a factual assessment of what hazardous drinking is doing to their relationships, to their mental health, to their finances, to their health, and to their jobs. In short, my hard working friends need to understand the alcohol side effects of their heavy and hazardous drinking.
There’s Room For Optimism If Those Who Engage in Hazardous Drinking Can Become Persuaded to Get the Alcohol Rehab and Alcohol Detoxification They Require
These hard working guys need to get inspired and motivated about wanting to make a healthy change in their lives. Stated more forcefully, my hard working buddies need to get motivated to go to their physician or to the local drug and alcohol counseling clinic and find out if they are essentially abusing alcohol or if they are alcohol addicted. Based on the information that is brought to light, my hard working friends then need to get the alcohol treatment and the alcohol detox treatment they require.
The fortunate news is that there are is an almost countless number of treatment centers, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, drug and alcohol treatment clinics, and rehab programs where these construction workers can get top-shelf rehabilitation for their excessive and hazardous drinking. And with a little effort, it’s even possible to find treatment centers, rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, rehab programs, and drug and alcohol treatment clinics that are fairly inexpensive.
First-Rate Alcohol Addiction or Alcohol Abuse Help Can Start With a Single Phone Call
There were obviously times in the past when professional help for alcohol abuse or alcohol addiction was far less available and more expensive that it is now. Due to the great increase of alcohol abuse and alcohol addiction in the past two decades, however, an alcohol abuser or alcohol dependent person more often than not has few, if any, valid reasons for failing to address her or his irresponsible and heavy drinking.
In actual fact, to begin the change process all it often takes is a single phone call to one’s family physician or to someone at the local alcohol rehab clinic. Thereafter, alcohol recovery requires commitment, follow through, and a sincere desire to change one’s detrimental style of life.
