What Games Will You Play Online If You Are A Woman?
Men and women like different types of games.Online games and computer games have made the difference between tastes visible in the last 20 years.
While you might find many men that like playing solitaire, this type of mind and skill game has proven to be overwhelmingly a female type of game.
The reverse is also true. Women do not usually like race car games or gun fight games. Some games are overwhelmingly male dominated.
Thinking and cooperating are the trademarks of women oriented game play, while men tend to compete and play to win. One clear example is the huge preference of women for the puzzle category.
Puzzles, in the internet, include a lot more games than the original word seems to suggest. Among the games to be found in puzzles are all sorts of skill mind games such as match three, tetris or spatial pattern recognition games.
You will recognize this games by their trade names: Bejeweled, Tetris, Zuma, Solitare, among others.
How does playing alone stand against playing in groups? Apparently it doesn’t matter whether male or female, everyone likes to play in groups. Much like there are networked one person shooters for men, there are also community based games such as online bingo that appeal to women.
The difference between the sexes is plainly visible in games such as Online bingo. Although women may engage in competition community games such as Gamevillage bingo, their focus is usually fun and not profit and defeating a competitor is most definetly never the purpose.
Women are never losers in online bingo since they all strive to win but not to defeat each other, as opposed to the mechanics of poker which is about defeating other men.
Another difference is the amount spent in games of chance such as bingo games as opposed to harder gambling practiced by men. Women will usually onlin spend the disposable income that is tagged for entertainment in a game of chance. Whereas men will play to win and risk more than they should in a game in order to be the winner.
Men will insist that the games women play are the ones they play with men in real life, but the truth is that women play for fun, community and mental skill and men are harder competitors out to defeat others.

We have all heard of ladies night, but 2010 seems to be shaping up nicely to be ladies year. For beginners, the NBC Heads Up Championship spot was taken home by Annie Duke who may have been encouraged by her fellow heroine Vanessa Rousso’s runner-up finish the year before. Early April saw Liv Boeree take it all in the EPT San Remo which featured the largest EPT main-event field in all of the competition’s history; and last but certainly not least, Vanessa Selbst did some serious damage to the competition at the NAPT Mohegan Sun, walking away with $750,000 in prize money. Already 2010 is seemingly a year where the women are taking the lead, and as we near the middle of the year, do the boys actually stand a chance of catching up.
So what is behind these ladies taking the cake? For Selbst it could be her luck, it could be chance, or it could be the impressive academic background that she brings to the table. Selbst first came to our attention during 2007 when at the heads-up championship of the World Series of Poker she managed to come an impressive 3rd. Just one year later she picked up her first bracelet in a pot-limit Omaha event and then unexpectedly to most, virtually disappeared from the scene. What about a holiday to a fantastic tropical island? Perhaps a year off to work hard at her game? Not a chance, Selbst took off and hit the books.
Selbst decided that poker was losing the fun it used to have and she missed the intellectual stimulation of school. Selbst returned to Yale, (where she already held one degree and a subsequent Fulbright scholarship) to pursue a degree in law as a human rights lawyer. If you think about it, this career choice – skilled poker shark turned lawyer – isn’t that strange of a call as some of the qualities lawyers and successful poker players share are surprisingly complementary- analytical style, logical thought process- it makes sense.
She can always join in with Internet Poker and perhaps have a game of PKR Poker, or Everest Poker

Selbst has been quoted as saying that by taking a back seat from the game, this gave her the time to take stock and approach the game from a new angle. Following on from her NAPT win Selbst stated that, “When I’m playing tournaments now, I play so few that everything is fresh and seen from an outside perspective; I don’t get caught up in pre-programmed lines and thoughts, and I’m able to look at each situation anew. In some ways it’s great because I can take a good look at the game and see it as it is.”
Lawyer gone poker, or poker gone lawyer, either way this leading lady is doing something right and has proven that she’s got what it takes to succeed in both fields. It would seem that Selbst has now decided to take next year away from her studies to return to the tournament circuit before finally completing her degree in the following year. When her degree is finally complete, Selbst hopes to find the perfect solution by dividing her time for 6 months spent on the tournament circuit and then the other 6 months trying her hand at pro bono cases.
So all you boys out there, are you seriously going to sit back and let the ladies walk away with the prize money in 2010? Only time will tell but one thing is for sure, the horses are out of the blocks and the stallions have some catching up to do. Good luck to all in the rest of the year’s competitions and if anything goes sour we can recommend a really good lawyer.
If you’re interested in pursuing a law degree you’re going to have to look elsewhere, but if it’s a little poker with the added bonus of rakeback you want to try your hand at then look no further. You can also try your hand at Littlewoods Poker, or perhaps you prefer Betfair Poker

Some Parents Do Not Allow Online Gambling
There are many who still have doubt about Online gambling. People feel that online poker makes people addictive towards gambling and also ruins many people’s lives. Gambling is also not allowed within few religions. It is strictly against Islamic religion and some religions inside Hinduism.
Some parents do not allow gambling in their homes no matter what religion they are. They feel that gambling makes people addictive and it is a waste of money. In some instinct I agree with them but it also depends on the person itself on if he or she can control themselves from getting addictive to gambling. In my personal opinion online poker also helps in sharpening the mental senses and also introduces to different culture - cultural awareness. Now let’s make one thing clear online gambling and online poker are two completely different things.
I have seen people whose mental senses have improved by playing poker whereas I have also seen people getting addictive to online gambling and wasting their money. As I was growing up my parents banned any types of gambling in our home except from the festival periods because he felt it gets too addictive and distracts the children from their studies. When I was 15 I was caught playing betfair poker online by my mother and trust me it was not a good chat. To be completely honest I would probably ban gambling in my house when I have kids just to make sure study comes first.
To be honest I still didn’t stop playing even after then but I didn’t get addicted to it and now I can say it has definitely improved my mental sharpness. I still enjoy playing rakeback deals poker but not often and certainly am not addicted to it. I can more than happily live without any gambling in my life. It definitely depends on how strong the person is and if they can stop getting addicted to it.
