Digital Photography Advantages

Digital cameras are great for capturing great photos. You have so many benefits that you can get from digital cameras as compared to the old-fashioned cameras. You will be able to save both time and money. Buying a digital camera requires an initial investment that is high or a little bit on the middle depending on the camera model. For amateur photographers, it is more advantageous to have a digital camera. This article can help you to learn about the advantages of digital .

First, you’ll have lesser cost in terms of shooting and developing pictures. This makes it practical and convenient due to the effort and time it used to have to have pictures developed. There is a lower cost, because you don’t have to purchase film and have it developed the old-fashioned way. All you need to check with digital cameras is the battery and the memory space in the memory card. This is a great advantage for my San Diego photographer service.

Second, you’ll be able to store your pictures better. Digital cameras make use of memory cards in order to be able to store photos. Your photos can then be transferred to a computer’s memory and this frees up space in your memory card. Storing rolls of film and risk fires are a thing of the past. This is another thing that makes things easier in my  San Diego commercial photographer service.

Last, your photos can easily be printed. Just save the photos in your computer and you are ready to print them out in your own printer. Printing photos is similar to printing any type of file. You can even choose to have them printed outside. Most printing companies have printers which are able to print directly on to photo paper. You can also edit your photo before you have it printed. You have the option of adjusting the brightness, contrast, red eye and hue. This allows us to print in studio with our family portrait photography San Diego service.

You have just read some of the benefits that digital cameras bring. Make it a point to shoot photos properly in order to get great shots.

Take Your Kid’s Artwork Everywhere! Or Give It As A Gift!

Â

Running out of wall space for your little Picasso? Have your kid’s drawings beaten grocery lists out for refridgerator door space? If you’ve used all available refridgerator and bulletin board space, don’t worry! There are lots of ways to display your children’s artwork.

Step 1 is to create digital files of your young artist’s drawing, painting or print. So, if anything happens to the original artwork, you’ll still have a copy on file that you can reproduce and enjoy for many years. You’ll need to scan the original artwork. No scanner? No problem. Any copy or photo business will scan your items and put them on a disk for you. If you are using a copy service to scan your artwork, it’s a good idea to grab several pieces and have them all doen at the same time.

The resolution of the images is important and what you choose depends on what you want to use them for and the final size they need to be. The DPI, or dots per inch, refers to the physical size of an image when it is reproduced on paper or displayed on a monitor. Any image that is to be used on a printed piece such as a bag, mousepad or mug needs to be scanned at a high resolution of 150 dpi or higher. If the images will stay on a computer screen or end up on a website, 72 dpi will be plenty.

If you’re not sure how you will use the images, always scan them at the highest quality available.

A flatbed scanner work best for digitizing artwork. Taking a photo of the piece doesn’t work as well. The scanner presses the artwork flat and the light source is even across the entire surface of the piece so it will look as much like the original as possible.

Once you have your artwork on a disk, the possibilities are endless.

  • Make a computer “wallpaper†or screensaver
  • Imprint a mug or hat
  • Have a photo bag or photo purse made
  • Have it made into a jigsaw puzzle
  • Create a greeting card
  • Have the picture put on a mousepad

There are several companies that will imprint the art onto a huge variety of items for you. Many companies have online stores that make it easy to upload your file. They will re-size it for you to create your item.

are becoming more and more popular so you can also share your kids drawings with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and teachers. It’s a great way to personalize a gift. Is dad hard to buy for? Then make sure his coffee mug or mousepad has a reminder of his kid’s talent where he can see it during the work day.

And of course, you can always have it put on a magnet to hold the next masterpiece!

Wedding Photography in the Credit Crunch

The popularity of seems to have increased in recent years, despite the decline in ‘traditional’ values. When you look at the amount of expense that goes into that one day, however, you may think it causes more misery financially than it does happiness on the day itself. Last year, the average US couple spent $20k on their wedding, with the average in the UK being far higher at a whopping £20k, or $38k. That’s probably the most expensive day you’ll ever have (unless you one day throw a winning lottery ticket in the wash). But more and more couples are feeling the pinch of the recession now, and are looking for a way of getting married on a budget, without spoiling any of the magic of the occasion. Among the drastic measures being taken are asking guests to help with food or music, trimming down invitations to close friends and family only, and the idea of a ‘pre-worn wedding dress’ has appeared in recent years, which was unheard of just 10 years ago. Hiring a wedding is one area where a lot of brides and grooms are not, however, willing to cut corners, and rightly so. Of all the possible expenses you could lay out for your wedding day, its the that will stay with you and your family long after the others are just a hole in your bank account. Here are a few on how to stay within your budget for wedding without having to take a cut in quality.

1. Google is your friend

There aren’t many photographers around today that don’t have a website, and one of the best ways of finding and comparing wedding photographers in your area and price range is through search engines like Google. However since there are so many photographers jostling for space the problem is it can be easy to miss out on some great ones by not searching deeply enough. Spend some time trawling through the Google results beyond the first few pages. After a thorough search you should have put together a good list of photographers that you can now start comparing on price and style. Another tip is dont just settle for the most obvious phrases when you’re searching - try a few different searches, being sure to look at surrounding towns and regions as many photographers are willing to travel to cover a wedding. My wife and I live in Sussex, and when looking for our we not only searched “Wedding Photographer Brighton“, we also made sure to look for photographers in London, Kent and Hampshire.

2. Watch Out for Hidden Costs

Gone are the days when your wedding had to develop their own prints in a darkroom - its all digital now. Which means that the wedding photography pricing are a lot more simple now too. Yet many photographers are still working off the model of charging couples for each print they want after the wedding - that’s an additional cost on top of what you’ve already paid for their time! Always look for photographers willing to give you all the images from the day on CD. Like this you can choose which prints you want to get done at leisure and get them printed for relatively low cost.

3. Optional Extras and Photo Books - DIY!

With digital the era of the traditional wedding photo album has passed. Nowadays modern photobooks are now the norm and extremely popular - but with a lot of wedding photographers adding these on to your package significantly increases the overall cost. Yet if you’re willing to make a little effort yourself and you have some creative flair, there are many photobook services now where you can design one at home and get them printed at bargain prices. The same goes for things like canvas prints and enlargements - all you really need are the original high res images!

4. Be Wary of Wedding Scams

Everyon’e heard a story about a couple who got scammed by a so-called “” who ran off with their money. These swindlers will poach couples with cheap prices and slick sales pitches, receive their deposits or even full booking payments and then never be heard from again. They are truly tragic and horrible stories. The thing is, if you’re vigilant they’re pretty easy to spot and avoid. Firstly, ensure that any payment of deposits or fees are done via bank transfer - its the most secure method of payment, and can be traced and reversed in the event of a problem. Also make sure you get a legally binding contract from the which states clearly what you are getting for your money and will protect you. And lastly, just make sure you have your radar up - try and visit the , see lots of examples of his work and ask lots of questions.

5. Dont Go Over the Top!

My last tip is perhaps the opposite of a one, but just as important as the others. I know you’re trying to save money but it it possible to take that overboard! Like I said, the is quite possibly THE most important part of your wedding, especially when you look back. There are hundreds of amateur and inexperienced ‘photographers’ out there who are trying their luck as a side income. By focusing purely on the price you could be misled into thinking these offer a great deal. But often the real bargains are to be found by going up a level in pricing. The bottom line is this: if you look at your ’s previous work and it doesnt make you go “wow” then is it really worth paying for a professional?

Photography in advertising today

One of the best forms of advertising is print advertising. For many years, it has been used successfully.Despite the use of the internet and TV to advertise still print adevertising makes a lot of money.Of course the generic part of advertising is chosen words that sell. But basically the ad works greatly when beautiful images accompy it.Using some well placed images you can dramatically increase sales.

Wedding advertising can be a good example.  Wedding is a big industry and a lot of money is spent and made in that business. There is a lot of competition in the industry since it promises a lot of money.  As a San Diego photographer I get hired out for a lot of these types of ads.The main aspect of course is to take best pictures that can enhance the message of the ad.If the subject is wedding dresses you want vivid pictures of brides in wedding gowns.

Another big job that my event photography San Diego business gets hired for are big corporate events.More money can be made in these kinds of environment.  So the goal is to get as many people to the event as possible.  This is where good can come in and really capture how.Well captured photographs can make an event really inviting.

Finally a common type of advertising in the corporate wolrd have models and everything else.  As a San Diego corporate photographer I see that a lot of money is spent in this arena as well.In this industry a lot of money is spent on advertising.  And when they hire out a they want.

As you can see in the world of business a lot of money is spent on advertising. With all these you can see that indeed plays a very vital role in boosting ad effeciency.
